The Texas Rangers have aquired catcher A. J. Pierzynski on a one year deal pending a physical. A.J. has been with the White Sox for the past few seasons and is known for being a bit of diva. I am not going to say that this is a bad sign for the Rangers yet. I was totally wrong when I ranted and raved against Adrian Beltre as he is now one of my favorite Rangers. A.J. is a power hitting catcher and we all know that is something the Rangers have needed since the departure of Mike Napoli, who has still not been made official in Boston. Once the physical is complete and he is officially announced, I will give you all some more on Pierzynski’s career numbers.
