Blowout

Adam Rosales saw his first action as a Texas Ranger last night and even got a hit and an RBI in the Rangers 15-3 dismantling on the Seattle Mariners last night at the Ballpark at Arlington. I have talked of late of the Rangers trouble to score off of starting pitching, and even though they scored five runs off of the King last night, they did all the damage in just one inning and then couldn’t score off of Felix. last night was better, but still not perfect.

Martin Perez gave up a solo run in the first three innings, but then shut the door nicely recording yet another quality start. He is now 3-0 with a 2.42 ERA in the month of August and is quickly becoming a reliable star in the Rangers rotation. We have been told for several seasons of his potential, and we are now watching it come to fruition before our eyes. The Rangers are becoming very top heavy in their rotation with Yu Darvish, Derek Holland and Martin Perez at the top. And Garza isn’t bad either, but i don’t think he will be in a Ranger uniform next season.

They Rangers go for the series win today against the Mariners to try and lift their record to twenty games over .500 for the first time this season. If the Indians can help out out one more time ad the Rangers take the series, the AL West lead will be 2.5 games over the Athletics. Right now it stands at 1.5 games. The chance for that is in the hands of Yu Darvish today, who has struggles against the Mariners in the past, but I think he will do just fine against that lineup today. Enjoy the game everyone.

  1. Are you really complaining about the Rangers ONLY getting 5 runs off one of the best pitchers in baseball?

Is Adam Rosales seeing his first action as a Ranger the first thing you took from this game?

Also, your Nelson Cruz poll question is completely unfair. It is basically 3 negative options and one neutral. It ignores the other side.
