The Daily Five for April 15, 2014

20131109-102932.jpgThe Texas Rangers had a good start from Colby Lewis last night, but it wasn’t near enough with the lackluster offense they have been putting out on the field lately. J.P. Arencibia is looking like he was a really bad idea right now, and so is Prince Fielder. Pedro Figueroa has been a disaster (8.44 ERA, opponents are hitting .348 off of him), and Neal Cotts has been suspect every time he pitches. Last night was rough, but it was one of 162. The Texas Rangers have a chance to go after a pitcher in Blake Bevan who has not had a lot of success at the major league level, and hopefully they can get to him tonight.

The Texas Rangers are now 5-6, and it has been the offense that has let them down as opposed to the pitching for the most part. You don’t win a lot of games 1-0 (unless you are playing the Astros). Here is your daily fix of the chatter around the web involving the Texas Rangers. Enjoy.
