The Daily Five for April 21, 2014

20131109-103027.jpgThe Texas Rangers have won five of their last six games, and the offense (despite the lackluster performance yesterday) is starting to look good over all. The offense may be about to get better as well with the possible return of Adrian Beltre this week. The starting pitching is looking better as well, and tonight Texas Rangers Ace Yu Darvish takes the mound against the rival Oakland Athletics. I wouldn’t say that the Texas Rangers are hitting on all cylinders yet, but they are starting to look more like the team that all Rangers fans hoped that they would look like for 2014. Injuries have slowed them down a bit, as well as new players acclimating to their new surroundings, but they are starting to look more acclimated at this point. Robbie Ross had a rough outing yesterday, but Colby Lewis looked good before that and Martin Perez just continues to impress every time he pitches.
