Texas Rangers Face off Against the Other L.A.

DodgerStadiumIt is not very often that Texas Rangers fans get to see the L.A. Dodgers in Arlington, and it is obviously the same for Dodgers fans in L.A. Starting today the Texas Rangers have a home/away series coming up against the Dodgers, and it will pit two pretty good teams against each other. The Dodgers are currently first in the National League West with a record of 37-26 while the Texas Rangers are sitting in second behind the red hot Astros, and the Rangers have a record of 33-30.

It is always fun (to me anyway) when two teams that do not see each other very often get to face off like this series, and the fact that it is a home and away series makes it even more exciting for fans. I would love to go to L.A. to watch the two games there, after watching the two games here of course, and I think it would be an awesome road trip! The Dodgers are one of the best teams in the West once again, making the Rangers trip to Los Angeles one of their most difficult trips in the month. Watch them face the Dodgers on the road for a mid week set at Dodger Stadium. Flights to Los Angeles can be booked through Hipmunk.com, including Los Angeles area hotels starting from $51 and two other options starting from less than $100 per night.

The Texas Rangers are playing very good baseball right now, and this will be a good test. They have won 6 if their last 10, but so have the Dodgers. The Rangers will have Yovanni Gallardo go to the mound tonight, with Chi Chi Gonzalez going to the hill tomorrow for the two games in Texas. I look for the Rangers to take both these games and continue their hot streak in Arlington, and then hopefully split in L.A. to take the series. I have a lot of faith in the team right now, and I feel like they are going to have a good June, despite the fact that they are not missing Delino DeShields as well as Josh Hamilton and Ryan Rua in the outfield.

In other news, Rougned Odor is back and will most likely be in the line-up tonight, and he tore it up at AAA ball over the past few weeks. I am hoping that he figured out whatever he needed to figure out in Round Rock. Should be a lot of fun over the next four days, and this will be a great test for this young Texas Rangers team! Let’s Go Rangers!
