The Texas Rangers have not been very consistent in 2016 so far. They seem to win 3 games, and then lose 3 games. At least that is what theySam_Dyson_xt0p0vmr_3ku145mr did this last week. The bull pen is starting to come into form now that Shawn Tolleson has been removed from the closers role and Sam Dyson has been placed in it. Dyson has only had two chances to close out games so far, but he did the job both times. Hopefully Tolleson will be able to work out his issues and get back to being a productive member of this pen.

The Rangers just finished their second sweep of the Houston Astros this season, an Astros team that has not been as good as we all thought it would be. Currently, The Seattle Mariners sit in first place in the West with a record of 26 – 17, with the Texas Rangers in second place with a record of 25-19, just a game and a half back in the standings. The Angels are third with a 20-24 record, which is about where I thought they would be, and the A’s and the Stros are bringing up the rear at the moment.

The Rangers have had some injuries to deal with, an under performing bull pen, and injured starter (A.J. Griffin), an ineffective starter in Derek Holland and of course they have a rookie playing in left field, and rookie who is playing very well I might add. Shin-Soo Choo came back and was immediately injured again, Prince Fielder is batting .200 with just 2 home runs, and of course who knows when we will once again see Josh Hamilton on the field, and also we are about to lose our second baseman for eight games for the punch. It seems like the Rangers are in pretty good shape for being as banged up as they are.

The return of Yu Darvish this coming Saturday will be a big boost for this team, and it gives the Rangers another true ace like pitcher for down the stretch besides Cole Hamels. Even though the Oakland Athletics swept the Texas Rangers earlier this week, I believe that we have not seen the best of this team yet, and I look forward to seeing what this season turns into as it progresses.
