Andrew Cashner

The Texas Rangers have signed Andrew Cashner to a one year deal. Cashner signed a one year, 10 mm dollar deal to pitch in the Rangers rotation next season.

Cashner is a Texas native and is glad that the Rangers signed him.

The biggest thing for me is getting to come to what somebody told me the other day is the best culture in baseball,” Cashner said to reporters. “That sets the tone for winning.”

Cashner has never played on a team with a winning record. He was 26-44 with a 3.84 ERA in 109 starts with the Cus, Padres and Marlins. He played college ball at TCU, and he was mentioned as a trade possibility during last season.

Cashner would most likely take Derek Hollands place in the rotation, and the Rangers are still trying to get a deal done with Colby Lewis. The Rangers priorities remain rotation and outfield. Welcome to Texas Andrew Cashner!
