Texas Rangers Moves and Acquisitions

by Ben Dieter on November 25, 2017

The Texas Rangers have not been completely quiet so far in free agency. They acquired Ronald Herrera from the New York Yankees. Herrera was acquired and added to the forty man roster. The Rangers gave up minor league left handed pitcher Reiver Sanmartin. Herrera pitched mostly in the minors but has a few major league appearances under his belt.

The Texas Rangers also added six minor league players to the forty man roster. Those players are:

Jonathan Hernandez (RHP)

Ariel Jurado (RHP)

Brett Martin (LHP)

Joe Palumbo (LHP)

Jose Trevino (Catcher)

Isiah Kiner-Falefa (utility)

Trevino and Falefa are at Frisco, the other guys are lower in the system.

The Texas Rangers have a lot more work to do over the off season and hopefully that starts soon.
