Rain Day

A lot of people are saying what a good thing this rain delay is going to be for the Rangers. It will be good the have an extra day of rest for Ogando and Feliz, the hitters can take it easy today, and everybody will be ready to go. While I agree that is a good thing, I am not sure about the fact that the Rangers will have to play 4 straight days in a row (unless they win the series in 4) including a flight to Detroit with no off day. That means that, if it comes down to game 5 and the Rangers have a 3-1 lead, Feliz may be too tired to close out game 5, and Ogando may be too worn out to pitch in that game as well. I know that they do this kind of thing a whole bunch during the regular season, but I still think it is harder during the post season. I still think the Rangers have a great chance of winning this series, I am just a little concerned with the game AFTER tomorrow. Are the Rangers good enough to win the series in 4? I think they are. Will they win the series in 4? Probably not. Derek Holland will be on the mound tomorrow against Scherzer, and that should be a very intriguing match up. Scherzer is a good pitcher and I look for him to be a challange for the Rangers hitters. But we have got to remember, the Rangers beat Justin Verlander yesterday, and they have now won 4 straight post season games. Holland is the better pitcher this year, and he did a good job against a hot Tampa Bay line up in his last start. I say the Rangers will take game two and take a nice 2-0 lead in the series heading to Detriot.  I wish they were playing tonight, because there is nothing on Television to watch and I am just kind of waiting for tomorrows game! Oh, there is that football thing on right, but, seriously, who cares about football during the baseball playoffs? Not this guy.
