Prediction Time!

Usually we do our predictions on the podcast, but some issues kept me from doing and extra innings podcast last night so, here you go!

NL East: Although the Marlins did a lot to try and get better and the Braves are always in the discussion, I am still going to give the NL East to the Phillies.

NL Centeral: After losing Prince Fielder and Braun almost being suspended for steriods, the Brew crew is not going to be as good as they were last season. I look for the Cardinals to win this division and maybe the Reds to come in second.

NL West: The Giants won the world series in 2010, but I believe that Arizona has what it takes to win the division in 2012. SF will not be far behind them, but the rest of the teams will be.

AL East: Everyone always defaults to the Yankees in this division, but I am going to say that it will not be them. They will win a wild card spot, but the Tampa Bay Rays will be the Eastern division champs in 2012.

AL Centeral: There is little doubt that the Royals, Twins and Indians will not be good. The White Sox are not quite ready yet. The Tigers are the clear front runners to win this division handily and I agree with that. Tigers will be the only team to make it in to the post season out of the centeral.

AL West: This division is a two team race. You can count out Seattle and Oakland, and in my opinion, the much improved Angels are not there yet. That is why I think the Texas Rangers will win the West for the third year in a row, and the Angels will be the second wild card team.

Post Season:

NL Wild Card: Reds over the Braves

NLDS – Phillies over the Diamondbacks

NLDS – Cardinals over the Reds

NLCS – Phillies over the Cardinals

AL Wild Card – Yankees over the Angels

ALDS – Tigers over Rays

ALDS – Rangers over Yankees

ALCS – Rangers over Tigers

World Series: Rangers over Phillies

There you have my predictions folks! I would love to hear yours. Leave them as a comment on this post or email them to me at ben@therangerreport.com. Lets Go Rangers!!
