Road Trip gets Tougher

The Texas Rangers have started 9-1 on the road in 2012, but now they have to move forward for the foreseeable future without the middle of their lineup intact. Josh Hamilton sat out tonight and will probably sit out some more games with back stiffness, and tonight Adrian Beltre left the game with which I can only assume is more trouble with that hamstring. Beltre and Hamilton are two of the best offensive and defensive players in the AL, and it is going to make the Rangers road forward a little more difficult. We can all hope that is is not a long term problem, but the Rangers will have their hands full with a Toronto team that can hit well. Although in Craig Gentry nick named “kitten face” on twitter) keeps hitting long home runs like he did tonight, maybe the Rangers will be okay after all. I am not worried for the long term right now, but I will be watching to see if the Rangers have to go long term without two of the best hitters in all of baseball. On a side note, Craig Gentry now has more home runs this season than Albert Pujlos. Just thought I would mention that.
