Series Win with Another Big Loss

The Rangers won their first game in SF on Friday, finally defeating the Giants at their place. They won again on Sunday, beating Tim Lincecum for the series win. But, the Rangers, already without Derek Holland and Neftali Feliz, took another big blow on Sunday, losing Alexi Ogando, who had replaced Holland in the rotation. One of the real strengths of the 2011 Texas Rangers was the fact that they kept the same 5 guys in the starting rotation all season, and now they have had 7 different starters this season, and out of those 7, 3 have gone down to injury, 2 of them at least potentially serious. And to make matters worse, Ogando was hurt trying to leg out a bunt in the 3rd inning. I do not know how you all feel about this, but I really hate national league rules for American League teams. This is an injury that should have never happened, and it may wind up changing the fortunes of a team that is already struggling. The Rangers cannot win without pitching, and the pitching is becoming a big problem. Oswalt is supposed to solve some of that, but he was rocked in his last AAA start. The pen is starting to become depleted now missing Feldman and Ogando, and Scheppers may or may not be a good addition, we will have to wait and see. Now, the Rangers are going to either have to call up someone else or overwork some of the guys we already have here. The worse case scenario is that they have to keep Tatyama up at the major league level! I like him, but he has been terrible so far. I hope the Rangers can recover from this, since they are finally back to at least winning a series. They need to continue winning series against the D-Backs and Astros, and see if the rest of that pitching staff can stay healthy.
