Blank the Twins

Adrian Beltre had an amazing night last night, hitting for the cycle for the second time in his career, but he was not the whole story. Don’t get me wrong, he is a big part of the story that was the 8-0 routing of the Minnesota Twins last night, but the other part of the story was the pitching performance that was put in by Matt Harrison. 6 2/3 of no no baseball is something that we have not seen from a Texas Rangers pitcher in a long time, and it was great to see last night. Matt looked comfortable, he looked in command and he looked like he belonged in that spot. If this is a contest right now to see who is going to make the post season roster as a starter for this club, then Matt took a big step last night in that direction. I believe that this rotation is starting to come together and I think it my just be Matt that winds up anchoring it. I know that seems over reactionary, but if you look at the overall work of all the Rangers pitchers this season, Matt has been the best and most consistent on the staff all season.

So lets take a little bit to enjoy what we say from Adrian last night, digest what we saw from Harrison, and get ready to see what the Rangers have in store for us today. The magic number is now 32, by the way, if your keeping count. Lets Go Rangers!
