Memorial Day

Today is a day to remember the sacrifice of all the brave men and women who have selflessly given their lives to make this country a safer place. We all either knew someone who gave their life for freedom or we know someone who has lost a dear family member. So as we watch baseball and get our grills fired up today, lets say a prayer for all the families who have paid the ultimate price and lost a son, daughter, husband, wife, father, mother, brother or sister in the military. I would like to personally say thank you for your family member’s sacrifice. I cannot express in words what it means to the rest of us. You are all on my thoughts today.

The Rangers will honor our fallen soldiers today by playing a day/night double header in Arizona today against the Diamondbacks. It is a strange schedule, playing a double header today in Arizona, then having a day off to travel back to Arlington and play two games against the same Diamondbacks. Yu Darvish pitches the first game followed by the season debut of Martin Perez in the nightcap. If you want to know a little more about the Diamondbacks I suggest you go here and read Michael Goldermann’s interview with the Fansided Diamondbacks writer. After a long game yesterday, some of you might be experiencing baseball fatigue. Don’t let it get to you! Make sure that you home is filled with gratitude, reflection, grilled food, the beverage of your choice (remember we all have to work tomorrow!) and Texas Rangers baseball! Have a safe Memorial Day everyone, and never forget those who gave their lives for us. God Bless America, and God Bless Texas!
