All Hope is Not Lost

20130609-071924.jpgIt is easy to get really excited when your team is on top and winning at a rapid pace. It is just as easy to overreact and believe that all hope is lost when your team takes the inevitable down turn and begins losing seven out of ten games. The Rangers are going through one of those inevitable downturns, it is just something that happens during a long baseball season. If it makes you feel better, the first place A’s are due one of those downturns as well.

The Rangers have lost three in a row and four of their last five. They are on a tough road trip that included Boston and Toronto. The good news is they can get a win today and then head home for eleven games ( three against the Indiana, four against Toronto and four against the swinging A’s). If the Rangers go seven and four in that home stand I believe that they will be right back in first place, and I see no reason why home cooking won’t help this team.

The pitching has still been good overall, Ross Wolf was great in yesterday’s loss. The offense still needs a lot of help, but I think they will get better upon Kinsler and Morelands return. They just don’t have that big bat in the middle of the line up right now. They can win with small ball, and if they are going to they should start now. So don’t lose hear Rangers fans, there are still near 100 games left to play, and I for one would rather see them go through a slump now than in September again.
