The Losing Continues

The Texas Rangers are slumping. That is too be expected during the course of a long season. Every team goes through ups and they go through down. Oakland is losing some games as well, so lets not freak out Rangers fans. All hope is not lost.

The return of Ian Kinsler did nothing to spark the struggling offense, and our plethora of young starting pitchers are still hit or miss. Yesterday, Lindbloom wasn’t awful, but with the way the offense is going, four runs is more than enough to secure a loss. The pen was once again good, and that has really been the only constant throughout this slump.

The Rangers need something to wake them up. I believe it will happen when the Athletics come to town this week. It could be a very bad situation if they don’t, but I just have a feeling that a turn around is coming soon. Call it baseball instinct. I have no facts to back it up, so maybe I am just overly optimistic and a crazy fan. The Rangers are not done. There is over half a season to go still.

Derek Holland tries to stop the bleeding today. Well, actually, the offense is the one that needs to stop the bleeding, not the pitcher. We shall see if it can be done. Enjoy the game.
