Ichiro’d

beltre errorYu Darvish was staked to a 1-0 lead, a 2-1 lead, and a 3-1 lead, but could hold none of those down. He did not pitch one of his best games, giving up 3 solo shots through the game and throwing way to many pitches. Yu began the season so dominate, but has since cooled off and has yet to record a win in June. and June is almost over. I don’t know what is wrong with Darvish, but I hope he fixes it soon. real soon. Your ace can’t go without a win for that long.

Yu did, however keep the Rangers in the game by stopping the bleeding at 3-3. Neal Cotts came in and once again pitched a great game in relief, and Tanner Scheppers did good all the way up to the last batter, which, of course, had to be ex-Mariner great Ichiro. Ichiro did what Ichiro has been doing to the Rangers for years. Beat them. With two outs and two strikes on him, Ichiro launched a ball 36 feet or how ever far it is to the Right field wall at Yankees stadium for the walk-off win. Ichiro was not much for the home-run in Seattle, but then again the home run porch was 5000 feet away instead of 36 feet.

Tonight the Rangers try to bounce back against the Yankees, and beat Andy Pettitte. Hopefully last night was just a bump in the road and not the start of a sweep at the hands of the Yankees. If your ace can’t win, you don’t really feel good about Grimm or Holland, do you?
