AL West Trouble

20130707-081355.jpg The Rangers behind Yu Darvish fell behind 4-0, and then came back and ties the game on a Soto three run shot. After a Darvish walk got him pulled from the game, Robbie Ross had a very uncharacteristic bad outing, which was the difference in the game.

I am growing weary of all the negativity that is surrounding this team right now. Sometimes you lose to division rivals. It happens. Sometimes a pitcher has a bad outing. It happens. The Rangers are thirteen games over .500 and only a half of game out of first. It is not like the 2013 season is a bust. They are 6-4 in their last ten, and yes, they have been losing to some bad teams, but that happens when you play 162 games. Lets not write off this team. If the go on a ten game losing streak or fall 6 plus games out of first, then I say panic away.

The Rangers could out yesterday that they have three all stars, Yu Darvish, Joe Nathan and Nelson Cruz. Tanner Scheppers is also up for the AL final vote, so you need to go vote him in! I may be mistaken, but if he gets voted in, it will probably be the first time in history the Rangers have had 3 pitchers make it to the All-Star game. This is a testament to the change that has gone on in Arlington.

So lets stop freaking out and remember that this team is built to compete for years to come, not just a one or two year run. And this season, no matter what the majority of people think, is far from over. There is still a lot of baseball left for the Rangers to win in 2013.
