A Swing and a Miss

We began a new segment on last night’s Ranger Report radio show called a swing and a miss. The idea behind this segment is to let some of the fans, owners, players, media people, and anyone else who happens to deserve it get the good natured ribbing that they so rightly deserve. Out of everyone we discuss each week on the radio show, one lucky person will go into the Swing and a Miss Hall of Shame. This is more for our entertainment, because we here at the Ranger Report have been doing something like this for quite sometime, just not on the air. Here is what we covered on last nights show:

1. Hall of Shame inductee: creepy guy

congratulations to the creepy guy from around 3 seasons ago that kicked off the Swing and Miss campaign. Nathan and I were sitting at a game minding our own buisness, when the jumbotron started showing kids who were celebrating their birthdays at the ball park. Kinda nice , right. Well, a 12 year old girl came across the screen and the announcer said her name and age. The “gentleman” in front of us turned to his buddy and said, and I quote, ” Hey, man, she will be 18 in 6 years!”. Everyone sitting around this guy scooted back a little in their seats, and even his friend looked disgusted. He may be the creepiest guy I have ever seen at the ballpark! That is why he is in our hall of shame.

2. Hamilton Jersy Guy: signs of mental problems –

The next “gentleman” we mentioned was a man who decided to wear his Josh Hamilton All Star jersey to Saturday’s game. That is all well and good, except the jersey was SIGNED by Josh! Even a 5 year old boy knows not to wear a signed jersey! This guy needs to think before he dresses next time he comes to a Ranger game!

3. Big Baby: Oh grow up-

Even if you lost a bet, that still does not excuse you from wearing a adult sized onesie along with a binkey! You, my friend, earned yourself a swing and miss award.

4. Marrage made in…. somewhere….maybe

I am not sure what else to say about this one. Watch for yourself.

Hope you enjoyed this segment, and be sure to check out the Ranger Report radio show every week right here on the Ranger Report website!
