The Rangers Offense Goes Silent

The Rangers had the tying run at the plate late in the game but the offense couldn’t finish the job. Adolis Garcia provided the only offense the Rangers were able to produce.

Garcia, Marcus Semien and others hit the ball deep, but none of those left the yard. Sometimes the other pitchers is just on that night and you chalk it up to being beat.

“We played a good game yesterday. Guys were excited today to come to the field, you know, they put good work in,” Woodward said. “I don’t know where that got lost in between that and game time, because we didn’t do anything we wanted to do on the offensive side. We knew he was going to come with fastballs, and it felt like nobody was ready for it.” texasrangers.com

Taylor Hearn earned his second loss of the season but didn’t pitch badly over all. He went the deepest he has gone into a game so far in 2022.

Pitching around Major League Baseball is just getting to the season ready point, and you are going to see more pitchers now stretched out.

The bullpen has been a huge strength for the team the last five games or so. It’s been really nice to see the change.

The Rangers have two more against the Astros before the Braves come to town for a weekend series.
