Jacob deGrom Projected to Go Monday

Ben Ludeman

The world has been paying attention to bullpens thrown by Jacob deGrom. Now with the Texas Rangers, deGrom has yet to throw in a game.

According to sources, if all goes well in his bullpen on Saturday, deGrom will pitch in his first game Monday.

Obviously his health is a big deal to the Texas Rangers, and it has been to the New York media as well. IF he is healthy he is one of the best in the game.

The world will be watching when he takes the mound on Monday for the Rangers. Every pitch will be scrutinized and evaluated ad nauseum.

He is slated to help the Rangers improve from the basement they have been dwelling in over the past 4 or 5 seasons.

The Texas Rangers are taking it very careful with the veteran. deGrom, however, does need to throw to live hitters.

Monday will tell us a lot about where he is. He has looked good in live batting practice.

Bullpen sessions have also gone well. Rangers fans are ready to see him in a game. So is the Rangers brass.

A healthy rotation for Texas would mean a vast improvement in wins over 2022. Maybe a 15 game swing. That would be significant.

There is much excitement around the team for the upcoming 2023 season. Jacob deGrom is one of the main reasons.

Pay attention to Monday’s game if you can, and check out how the new ace does for the Rangers. I’ll be sure to let you know as well.
