Young and the Shutout

The Rangers had a very incredible comeback on Saturday, capped off by the Michael Young Walk off single to where else, right field. That was followed by a game Sunday night where, with Ogando on the mound, it should not be a surprise that the final score was 3-0. The only surprise was who scored the 3. Brett Cecil threw a 4 hit complete game shutout against the Rangers on Sunday, something that is difficult to do to a Ranger team that has really been hot lately. All we can do after yesterday’s game is tip our collective caps to Cecil and say good game sir. It was impressive to watch him mow down the Rangers, even if it was horrible at the same time.
Tonight, the Rangers begin a 4 game set with the Twins, and then have the Indians coming in this weekend. The Rangers looked good against the then last place Twins, and great against the then 1st place Tribe, so it will be interesting to see how the Rangers play those two teams this week. Also, don’t forget, the trade deadline comes up Sunday, and I would not be surprised at this point, with he Beltre injury and the addition of Tommy Hunter and Scott Feldman in the pen, if the Rangers did not make a major move before the trade deadline. I also would not be surprised if they did. Heath Bell seems like he would be the best for what the Rangers want to do with Feliz in the future, but he may come at too high an asking price. We will wait and see I guess! Rangers and Twins tonight!
