Texas Rangers Bullpen No Longer a Strength

Bullpens are important to a winning team. Holding leads is one of the most important things to do in baseball.

The Texas Ranger bullpen has been spotty at best, and down right bad at worst. Jose LeClerc highlighted that yesterday with his outing.

LeClerc looked downright lost, and Ian Kennedy is way to hittable. I no longer go into the 8th and 9th feeling confident.

Bruce Bochy will not wait long to replace players if this continues to happen. Ian Kennedy is on his way to being released (in my opinion).

This will leave room for someone like Chase Lee or Jake Latz or any other minor league player doing well right now.

Taylor Hearn was already sent down, and I see more coming. Dane Dunning has been great, Cole Ragans has been good, and Brock Burke and Will Smith have been great as well.

You can’t lose games in which you score 7 runs. I know it happens, but it is happening too much of late.

The Rangers are much better than I thought they would be. If they go .500 for the remainder of the season they will finish with 84 wins.

A long losing streak will get here eventually. The question remains will this bullpen pull it together or will Bochy and the Ranger make changes.
