5) Sign Yu Darvish. The Rangers surprised me this off season by making an sizable offer on the rights to talk to Yu Darvish, and now that they have I think that Rangers fans would be disappointed if the Rangers did not get a deal done with Darvish. We now all want to see him as a Texas Ranger, and we all hope that he will be as successful as he was in Japan. If they do sign Darvish, one of the rotation guys from last season (Holland, Lewis, Ogando or Harrison) will have to move to the pen. My guess is either Ogando will go back to the pen or Harrison because the Rangers need a left handed reliever and Harry has been a reliever before. So get it done Rangers!

4) Beat C.J. Wilson. This one may seem kind of petty, but we fans want you to prove to us that the non-offer you made C.J. was not a mistake. I, for one, am a little concerned that the Angels are going to come into town and C.J. is going to rock the Rangers world the first time he faces them. I want them to prove me wrong and take care of business against him. The Rangers need to show me that C.J. is not as good as some people think that he is, and that they can beat him. They do not do well historically against left handed pitchers they have not seen before. I would love to see that trend change in 2012/

3) Win the Division. The Angels have improved, the A’s still have great pitching, and the Mariners are the Mariners. The Rangers (in my opinion) are still the favorite to win the West, with or without Darvish. The Rangers did a pretty good job, barring one game, against Pujols in the World Series, and as I mentioned, they have never faced C.J. before. The Rangers need to show that they can do what it takes to beat the big, bad Angels for 3 years in a row and not to let a possible surprise team like the A’s get into the race. Come on Rangers, it is time to three-pete in the division!

2) Get Back to the World Series. The Texas Rangers had never won a playoff series before 2010, and now they have been to back to back World Series. It is amazing what a few successful seasons will do to a fan base. We now expect the Rangers to compete for the ultimate prize every year, and I think we should. The Rangers need to dominate the post season in 2012, proving to the rest of the AL that it was not a fluke that they went to back to back World Series. We know it will probably be the Yankees, Red Sox, Rays, Detroit, etc. that they will have to face. We need to show them that the Rangers have truly arrived. Get back to the series, boys.

1) Win it All. The Rangers have been very impressive the past two seasons, and now it is time to be more than impressive. My no. 1 hope for the Rangers in 2012 is that they win the World Series in dominate fashion. They need to beat whoever they may play in 5 games. I want a stress free, worry free, dominate World Series. Is that too much to ask?

So there you have it. My top 10 (or 9) things I want to see in 2012. Go Rangers!
