August is Better Than July

The Texas Rangers had a horrible July, but somehow managed to stay in first place. It looked bad for a while against the Angels, but the Rangers vaulted back (like the Olympic reference there?) into a 5 game lead when August started. And even though today ended bad, They are still 4-1 in August. It is not all good though. Josh had some words with the base coaches yesterday, Roy Oswalt had his feelings hurt and wants to take his glove and play somewhere else, somewhere where they don’t know he had an ERA near 7 as a starter for the Rangers. Elvis tweaked something today, and the Rangers played error ball today and gave that game away. They have a couple of tough weeks coming up including Boston, NY and Tampa Bay. They need to keep that 5 game cushion between them and their closest competitor, and I think they will. Go Rangers!
