Down and Out

The Rangers run for the post season all but ended last night in this guy’s humble opinion. It was a heartbreaker. The Rangers lost the game and the series to the Kansas City Royals on a walk off Grand slam in the 10th inning. The Indians and the Rays seem to be getting the job done in September, The Rangers are having their second straight forgettable September.

So what does this mean for the Rangers going forward? Assuming that they do miss the post season, I think you will see some serious changes in this lineup. Players who won’t be back (and remember, this is all my opinion):
David Murphy
A.J. Pierzynski
Nelson Cruz
Matt Garza
Joe Nathan
Geo Soto
Jeff Baker

I also think they will shop these guys:
Adrian Beltre
Ian Kinsler
Elvis Andrus
Derek Holland
Craig Gentry
Alex Rios

The Rangers have had a very disappointing September, and I believe, because of the terrible off-season Jon Daniels had in 2012-13 winter, they will make a lot of moves this coming off season.

I will now get to enjoy these last seven games of the season knowing that the Rangers are going to miss post season play for the first time in 4 years, so I am just going to sit back, relax, and watch the last seven games in a Ranger uniform for several players. It is going to be a long off-season.
