Here Come the Yankees

The Yankees, despite having lost a few games in a row, are still the Yankees. And even though the Rangers owned the Yankees at the end of last season and in the post season, they have not so far this season. The Yankees have a 2-1 lead so far in 2011 in the season series. Rangers and Yankees are always a series to remember, and I see no reason why this one will be any different.

Friday, May 6, 2011 – Harrison (3-3, 4.59 ERA) v. Nova (2-2, 5.14 ERA)

Harrison has downright been terrible his last two starts, not even lasting a combined 6 innings in the two starts. That needs to change tonight, or he needs to go away. He is either in a short funk, or in my opinion, gone. If Harrison gives up 6 runs in 2 innings tonight, the Rangers are going to get killed. That being said, I think the Rangers lose this one to a HR battle that is won by the Yankees.

Saturday, May 7 – Holland (3-1, 4.66 ERA) v. Colon (2-1, 3.00 ERA)

Holland has been pretty good so far this season, and I think that will continue Saturday. Holland has gotten into some trouble in a few starts, but he has gotten out of most of that trouble with minimum damage. Look for Holland to hold down the Yankees, as I think this will be a low scoring game that the Rangers win.

Sunday, May 8 – Ogando (3-0, 2.17 ERA) v. Sabathia (2-2, 2.68 ERA)

This is going to be a great pitching matchup. The Rangers really need to open it up Sunday, you know, for their moms! They need a big game against Sabathia to get their offense back on track. I do not think it will happen, but man, would not that be nice! This will probably be a 1-0 or 2-1 game. I say the Rangers lose 2 out of the 3 games this weekend against the Yanks.

So, there you have it.
