What’s Your Outfield?

Hamilton, Cruz, Chavez?

Hamilton, Cruz, Gentry?

Hamilton, Cruz, Borbon?

Cruz, Murphy, Chavez?

When Julio Borbon gets hot, what should the Rangers do about their outfield? Borbon was playing very well when he got injured, but Chavez is playing great right now, and Gentry is not doing so bad also, and you can always count on David Murphy to play solid. Oh, and there is also those Cruz and Hamilton guys. So what are the Rangers to do? They have a problem, and that problem is good. they have 6 good outfielders to play 3 outfield spots. I think this may be Chris Davis’ chance to stay with the Rangers, because the Rangers are really showing off their outfield chops right now. I think, now more than I did even several weeks ago, that the Rangers are going to trade one or maybe two of these guys (and it may surprise us who the Rangers trade) to several teams to get bullpen help. And, much to my suprise and the surprise of a lot of Rangers fans if I had to guess, is the fact that the game yesterday against the AL’s no. 1 team was won exclusively by the pen. Started, middled and finished by the pen. I am starting to think that the Rangers have a pretty good team again, and they are in a good position to go on a run that will only be re-enforced by some bullpen help before the trade deadline. That is right, I am back to being excited about this team, and I am ready for the Rangers to pull off another great June and pull way out in front of the competition. GO RANGERS!!
