The Texas Rangers came into Cleveland to face the best team in the AL, and so far they have taken 3 of the first 3 games, with one more to go tomorrow. Tonight, Derek Holland looked like the ace of the team as he threw a 5 hit shutout in his first ever appearance against the Tribe. Holland, if you do not know, is from Ohio, and he had a lot of friends and family there, and boy did he show off for him. On a side note, we will be interviewing him on the Ranger Report podcast this week, so check back for that.
At the moment, I would say the Rangers are now taking over the as the best team in the AL. Think about it. They have won 10 of their last 13, they have won 5 straight series, and they are back to 7 games over .500. Josh and Nelly are blasting off (440 ft my butt), and the rest of the lineup is getting it done as well. I think that the Rangers are taking over as the best in the AL right now, and I think they may continue that for quite some time. Look for a massive June again from the Rangers, and possibly another insurmountable lead.
